The catchment area of the Rochester site also includes the Mayo Clinic Health System (a Mayo Clinic-owned, operated, and staffed community-based healthcare system with 70 hospitals and clinics across 77 counties spanning the upper Midwest in MN, IA, and WI). Each of these sites are considered NCI-Designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers ( NCI-Designated Cancer Centers). More than 1,200 physicians, care providers, and researchers at Mayo Clinic collaborate across cancer programs and specialties to help cancer patients, their families, and caregivers find individualized solutions that address all aspects of their cancer journeys, from early cancer detection and interception to treatment and survivorship. The Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center (MCCCC) is one of the largest, most comprehensive cancer centers in the world, treating more than 122,000 cancer patients each year.
